Short version: RetireVibes does not collect your email address or any personal information. Your quiz answers and saved destinations are stored only in your browser — they never leave your device. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which does set cookies in your browser.

RetireVibes is designed to collect as little as possible. Here is everything we collect:
We do not collect your email address, name, income, savings, net worth, Social Security number, date of birth, address, phone number, or any financial information. We never will — that's not what RetireVibes is for.
RetireVibes stores your quiz results and saved places in your browser's local storage — a mechanism that keeps data on your device, not on our servers. This is not a cookie and is not shared across websites or devices.
The keys we store are: rv_quiz_answers (your raw quiz responses), rv_quiz_matches (your top 3 matched destinations), rv_vibe_label (your vibe label, e.g., "Coastal Wanderer"), and rv_saved (destinations you've hearted). You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for retirevibes.com.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and similar) to tell returning visits apart from new ones. These are first-party cookies — they can't be read by other websites — and they contain a random identifier, not anything that identifies you personally.
You can block or delete these at any time in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally either way — nothing on RetireVibes requires analytics to function.
RetireVibes includes links to third-party websites and services. When you click these links, you are leaving RetireVibes and entering a third party's website, which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Some of these links are affiliate links — meaning RetireVibes may receive a referral fee if you engage with the third party's service. This is disclosed on each page where affiliate links appear. The third-party services we currently work with include:

RetireVibes does not collect personal information, does not create accounts, and does not sell or share your personal information with anyone — there is nothing to sell.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a business holds about you. Because we hold none, there is nothing for us to return or delete on request. The two places data does exist are both under your control: your browser's local storage (clear your site data for retirevibes.com) and Google Analytics (see the Cookies section above for how to opt out).

RetireVibes holds no server-side data about you, so there is nothing on our side to delete. Data stored in your browser's local storage stays there until you delete it or clear your browser data — you can do this at any time in your browser settings for retirevibes.com. Analytics data held by Google is retained for 14 months, as described above.
